Carry Designating Petitions!

Every person who wishes to be placed on an election ballot must receive a certain number of signatures from eligible registered voters. If you're eligible to carry petitions, you can help us get Ben's name on the ballot! The petition period for the 2006 elections ends July 10. Please read on to learn more about this process.

Are you eligible to carry?

Are you a registered Democrat?
Are you eligible to vote in the 2006 primary election?
Do you live in the 19th Congressional District?

If you can answer "yes" to all three questions, you are qualified to carry petitions! (If you are unsure about your eligibility, please speak with a Ben for Congress staffer before you begin collecting signatures.)

What makes someone eligible to sign the petition?

Each signer must be:

A registered Democrat.
Eligible to vote in the September primary election.
Registered to vote at an address within the 19th Congressional District.

Want to petition in your neighborhood?

You're welcome to gather signatures anywhere you go within the district -- barbeques, parties, etc. If you'd like to go door-to-door and need some helping figuring out where to go, let us know -- we're happy to help!

Want to carry petitions with us?

We go out in groups to various neighborhoods across the district all the time -- join us! Just give us a call, 914-930-6210 or 845-790-5053, and we'll get you signed-up for some of our outings!
